Shipping Out 20040809
Well folks, my ship date is August 9th, 2004, this coming Monday. I spent all day today at MEPS, got up at 4am, did the ASVAB, the full medical exam, swore in, ya'll know the drill.
This Sunday I leave for Fort Mead in Baltimore, MD, from there I fly to Charlotte, NC and then to Charleston, SC, from there I bus to Paris Island and begin the transformation from nasty civilian to United States Marine.
I gotta say, I'm pumped and psyched and stoked and ready as hell to get outa here and get into bootcamp. Thanks for all the advice and the help that various people here have provided me with.
I'll post again when I'm out of bootcamp.

the cool thing is, we're both gonna be in Hotel Co., 2nd RTBn and our last names are really close so it's possible that we'll be bunking together or at least next to each other :o

Just remember the hard times make the best memories. Once you earn the title and get to the fleet, you'll look back and laugh your a$$ off at the things you experienced.
Stay strong, DON'T QUIT and you won't regret it.
Good luck
