DoD Identifies Marine Casualty
The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Marine who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Lance Cpl. Nelson M. Lantigua, 20, of Miami, Fla., died March 31 as a result of a non-hostile incident in Anbar province, Iraq. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 10 Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.
The incident is currently under investigation.

Sorry if I'm out of place with this post but my mama actually deals with all the deaths in the Marine Corps, she works at HQMC Casualty dept.
Very sad about the loss of these good men and women but they are onto a better place.

The following Marines died April 30 while supporting combat operations in Al Anbar province, Iraq:
Sgt. James R. McIlvaine, 26, of Olney, Md.
Staff Sgt. Mark A. Wojciechowski, 25, of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Sgt. McIlvaine was assigned to 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Twentynine Palms, Calif.
Staff Sgt. Wojciechowski was assigned to 7th Engineer Support Battalion, 1st Marine Logistics Group, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.

Wow to see the names on here just makes me a little wierd, you just dont know until its written like a textbook entry I guess. I am so glad to hear that LCPL Preach had a good reception. That touches me well since I knew him well. We'll be giving him his memorial here tomorrow along with the 11 others we lost in Afghanistan. Its said to see that the EOD Chief died since we've been back. Semper Fi to all those fallen
