a tribute from all the Poolees to Staff Sgt. Roger

To the family of Staff Sgt. Roger,

I would like to offer my condolences in the loss of a great man, Staff Sgt. Roger, he has made an impact on everyone here, and has been an inspiration. In all of our quests as Poolees to be Marines, I can only hope that we all become half the Marine that he was.

    Respectfully,
    Poolee Vincent Cole

To the family of SSgt. Roger,
Sadly, I didn't really get to know him, but just what I saw from posts old and new he really seemed to care. Seeing how much the Marine family and new members to be meant to him was such a great motivation for me. He definitely was a great mentor to others, and I saw the great heart he had just through his words. I pray that God brings you all peace in this time of suffering. Thanks for sharing this wonderful man with us all.

    Respectfully,
    Poolee Jennifer Thulson

I don't really know what to say. I was never good at expressing my emotions. I'll tell you this though. I really want to become a U.S. Marine, now more then ever I want, and God willing, I will become a Marine. not only for me but also for the many great men and women that have gone before me including, Staff Sgt. Roger the one Marine who has been the biggest help to me in my quest to become a U.S. Marine. May God bless your soul and may he bless your family.

    RIP Staff Sgt. Roger

    Respectfully,
Marine gona be: Joshua Stevens. A.K.A. Chain Breaker

I only knew Rodger through Leatherneck.com, but as a former Marine myself, I know he will be missed by all that knew him, for I am sure he touched each in a special way.

My thoughts are with his family. SemperFi and keep up his good works.
