    reenlisting

    Question: I was honorably discharged in 2001. Now I want to reenlist... Looking to go in the reserves. How difficult is it to get back in? I realize I've 2 1/2 years broken time... and I'm not as young as I used to be... Where do I start?

    If you received severance pay, you can not re enlist.
    Start by talking to a recruiter.

    I help put a "retread" back in that had over 5 years broken time.. he lost a stripe but is kicking A$$ now.

    I just got the number for the prior service recruiter and I'm going to call tomorrow morning. I hope I don't lose a stripe... we'll see. I never did receive severence pay either... I didn't know they even gave that. Thanks Marines,

    I almsot rejoind a couple years ago. the only thing iwas told was that i MIGHT not ge my old mos back, which would have been fine with me. Then I went off and got married instead. Stupid me . LOL
