Active Reserve questions

Hello,
My husband has just submitted his package/application for acceptance into the active reserves. He's an E5 and has been in the reserves for nearly 6 years. His prior service recruiter let us know that they were not taking his current mos and gave us a list of "hot fills" mos' he could retrain into. Our main concern has been location over anything else. The PSR told us that determining where he'd be assigned would be up to the monitor he speaks with if he is accepted. Does anyone know how the next step in the billet assigment works? Will they just tell us where were going? Or is there an open discussion about it? Any additional information about AR would be greatly appreciated!

your husband should already know the answer to this, the answer to this question is really the answer to most questions which is... Needs of the Marine Corps.

Active Reserve billets are always(usually) specific to location, so if he put in for a specific MOS he should know where you will(potentially) be going.
