MOS Selection

I think I have my profile filled out..

I leave in January and I'm wanting to be infantry more than anything but my recruiter says there are no spots between now and then but there is a combat support mos available and that if an infantry spot opened up I could have it. My question is that what are the chances of an infantry spot opening up? I know the fiscal year ends in October and if any infantry jobs open up will I be eligible to snag one? I'm not into the whole telling my recruiter that I'm not joining unless I get infantry because all I want to do is earn the title Marine, but being infantry is my ultimate goal. Combat support doesn't sound too bad either but infantry is my #1. Thanks for your service and any answers you can give me.

Everyone seems to want an Infantry contract, and with the current state of the Marine Corps you might be waiting quite a long time.
