Camp Lejeune authorities have released the names of three Marines accused in November of taking more than $160,000 worth of government property and explosives.
Sgt. J.J. Giddings, Cpl. K.L. Lamberg and Lance Cpl. J.W. Clark have been charged in connection with the theft of the items said base spokesman Sgt. Spencer Harris.
The men are with 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force. They were placed in the Camp Lejeune brig on Nov. 18.
Naval Criminal Investigative Service special agents began an investigation into the case when they received information that one of the Marines possessed stolen government property.
