My daughter was
recently enlisted in the delayed entry program. Her recruiter kept threatening
to discharge her, this was done to every female Poolee. He came up with
some demand that she needed to go see a doctor because he heard wheezing. My
daughter has been in MCJROTC for four years, ran track, and is physically fit with
no history of any physical issues. This was 2 weeks prior to her going to MEPs
for shipping to boot camp. She’d already been through MEPs once for the dep and
there were not any issues with her there as well. We took her to a specialist
to ensure nothing was wrong and he agreed the test results reflected just that
but he did prescribed her an inhaler to make sure that the situation was not
exercise induced asthma.
My daughter was discharged due to the inhaler. To add insult to injury the Sgt states that she can re-enlist next year. To go through another discouraging year such as this, giving your all and just at the time of shipment being discharged for maliciousness. I had a great deal of respect for the Corp, until every female poolee I came in contact with had the same compliants of threats and malicious gestures to boot the girls out. Is this the MC way?
