    Late Award Help

I got this from my sis, anyone have a clue where to start? I think if it is at all possible, he will have to ask the old congressmen for help (?) I have seen old timers get late awards before, but dont know how it is done.

    below is from my sis....

my father-in-law was in the german war. he was to be awarded a bronze star for capturing several germans-troops? anyways, he has a letter that says he will be awarded one but never got it. said his sargent went off the deep end and probably never got the paperwork to the proper office. is there anyway you can help me find out who needs to get this copy of the letter so he can get this award? he is 81 years old!!! thanks!!

If he was in the Army, contact an Army recruiter. They have all the information to obtain WW-II awards for Vets and should be glad to help you. A copy of the letter should bring a quick responce.

They had a program in place in the mid 80's just for this purpose.

Tell him from me, "Thank you for your service that kept America safe and free."
