Base Placement

I have a few questions regarding the way you are assigned a Base. I understand that Enlisted Marines get a "pray" sheet or request sheet, is that the same with Officers? I feel like Officers wouldn't have a choice either way because you are needed to lead Marines and you should go where the Corps tells you to go right?

Also, After TBS and you go to specialty school (im on a flight contract) so when I go to flight school, would I be able to get on base housing for my girlfriend, or could I live off base with her? because if im right I think flight school is something close to two years, and that's a long time away from her. Any insight on either of these subjects would be great, thank you.

Either way the " Marine Corps " will put you where you are needed.

If you want to live with your girlfriend you will have to live off Base and pay for it yourself until you are married.

you're an officer candidate, you should be able to research this stuff on your own without having to ask here. Talk with your OSO, google it, speak with some other candidates and new Lt's.
