Those boots don't stand up. Mine fell apart after 1 week in the bush. Get the jungle boots.

I thought there might be some surplus vendor who'd have them. I know they aren't tough, that's what I want for feeling the brakes and shifter on my motorcycle and comfort when walking. Are the jungle boots flexible?

Jungles are much more flexible than the 70s combat boots. I have both and when I drag out the Harley I wear the jungles.

What about a local military surplus outlet ?

If there is a Fleet Farm/Hunting store near you some of those carry Mil Surplus Items... I'd give that a try if the other options don't work for you! Good Luck.

    No sh!t....I concur.
I even went through 2 pairs of jungle kickers (1966) so that says even more about the black standards durability.
Plus, the jungles were designed to breathe a bit.

That's my take on it.....carry on.

(dammit..this site is unpredictably slow for me again)

About(?) 5 years ago I picked up a pair of Bates tactial boots at a local
    Surplus store
    Paid about $100.00

My use is limited to snow and sometimes yard work.
    They're still like new !

These are labeled "do not polish"

    Good boots

Did you try Saiogn sam's in Jacksonville? Spoke with a guy down there a while back and he said they can get allot of things.

Just a note if your riding an MC, I went with Chippewa's Made in USA.
