Receiving compensation but wants to possibly go back in.
My husband got out of the corps in March and is receiving compensation from the VA. Does this mean he can't go back in? What would he need to do in order to go back in? He's not experiencing any pain or problems anymore.

If he goes back on active duty, he will have to forgo his disability compensation pay. If not, the VA will figure out he is on Active status and will take back the compensation themselves. If you are on reserve or guard status, you should be okay with continuing to take disability compensation depending on the percentage of disability and how much reserve time you put in each month. It is important that he check with the VA after going back in the service to find out what he should do otherwise he may find his pay getting docked which could be very frustrating. Hope that helps! I know someone who had the same issue and ended up with the VA docking his pay for a few months.
