Officers that wear the jump wings

I have seen a few officers wearing the gold jump wings. What MOS would allow them to wear this?

Recon and ANGLICO come to mind.

You don't have to have any specific MOS to wear jump wings. And more than likely the gold wings you are seeing on an officer aren't jump wings, they are probably aviator wings. Meaning those officers are pilots or air officers.

You can be basically any MOS and have gold wings. BUT, you must have got them while in a jump unit - like Recon or ANGLICO or another billet/MOS where you meet the criteria. Once you have them they are yours. My roomate in Greece who was an admin dude has gold wings - he got his when he was assigned to ANGLICO.

There are only Two Mos's that Marine Officer wearing those Jump Wings does not wanna P**S off a Cook or a Rigger 'cause both of them can both F**K up your Day

Often jump school is offered as a reenlistment bonus (rather than money, sometimes school seats are offered). Also, I saw some officers in jump school that were there simply because they picked up rank and had nowhere else to go...so their monitor (or whoever) sent them to J-school for a few weeks. All you need is a school seat and a unit willing to fund it (I know the actual school pays for some costs, not sure what the unit pays and what the school pays, though...kind of like residence PME). Also Rad Recon, CI, and riggers regularly go to jump school. I know three or four regular grunts from Hawaii units that have gone to jump, not sure why...actually didn't put together that all three of those guys got their wings while in Hawaii.
