National Weather Service Makes Huge Ammo Purchase

According to the Washington Post, the solicitation for a bid for ammunition was WRONGLY attributed to the National Weather Service.
The ammo is actually intended for “NOAA Fisheries Office of Law Enforcement”. Just like game wardens and park rangers, NOAA Fisheries officers are armed and participate in regular live-fire training. Fisheries Law Enforcement falls under the NOAA administrative umbrella, just as the National Weather Service does.
It doesn't seem like there is a conspiracy afoot here.

why would they need rounds that penetrate walls,, and bullet proof booths with stop lights,,
