On Guadalcanal...When the old Raiders left, the rest of us were transferred to Regimental Weapons company of the 4th Marines. We worked on our new camp and were assigned to 37mm guns. Tents were set up, and we trained for the next operation. I used to be a front line Marine, I am now an anti-tank man on a 37MM as assistant gunner.

Marine Raider units only existed from January 6, 1942 until February 1944.
