CK 0800. How do I know my bmos?

I'm at mct east currently. I wanted to attend SOI but there were no spots when I enlisted

Anyway, when I enlisted I had a contract of " CK fire direction/ control specialist"

Falling under the pmos code of 0800

Now, how can I discover my bmos? I'm looking to be an 0861, which will be as close to a grunt as I can get.

My gt is a 104. Which makes me eligible for 0861, but how do I find out?

I've checked MOL and no luck

    Any help?

It should all update after you get to or when you are about to leave your schooling.. but sometimes it doesn't update until you get to the actual fleet... there are some guys I know who have been in schooling for about a year, they get here and it still says they're a student for like 3 months.
I'm wondering how yall even got MOL and all that already... when I went through I didn't get on it till I hit my last school.

Bug the admin guys about it when you get to the fleet... or better yet ask your instructors. (Combat instructors won't know about it most likely unless it was their MOS)

My buddy is in arty... god help you if you join his unit lol.

And by the way, if you see a young private named Willsie.. tell her her lance corporal said hi.

    Best of luck to you,

You don't have a BMOS, that is not how it works. Your PMOS (primary MOS) will become 08XX depending on what you are assigned out of MCT. A BMOS (billet MOS) represents a billet that you serve in. For example, my PMOS is 6492 (Calibration) but my BMOS is 8411 (Recruiting).
