Chances of being placed into a radio battalion as a linguist?
I'm going in as a linguist, and I want badly to become part of Radio Recon. So my question is, is where you get put highly dependent on your language? What chance do I have of getting put into a Radio Battalion with the current popular languages at DLI now?

The Marine Corps will place you where you are needed most in that MOS.
Concentrate on Earning the Title first.
Good Luck to you.

We have all been where you are. Like my dad always told me. "lets just worry about the first day" Earn the title. I can almost promise when you hit those yellow footprints your mos wont cross you mind untill you see that Eagle Globe and Anchor in your hands.
Good luck and prepare to EARN IT.

You're more likely to be stationed at a Rad Bn than an RSOC regardless of language.
The way things are going we'll be out of Afghanistan before you even make it to the fleet.
