Marine Reserves - Training/School Opportunities

What type of opportunities, if any, exist for Infantry Reserves to attend additional schools/training (Scout Sniper, etc.)? I know this would be based on the needs of my local Reserve unit, but just curious as to what is actually practical. Local units in my area are an Anti-Terrorism Battalion (Rochester, NY) and a Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion (Syracuse, NY). Also, any recommendations on which of the two might give me more training/opportunity would be greatly appreciated.

I know MARFORRES gets seats allocated for schools, so it wouldn't be out of the question to go, but since I'm active and they're totally seperate I really don't know how you'd go about attending them. I'd think it would be more competitve to go since they get such a small amount of seats though.

Like Ice Man said, MARFORRES get seats but it also depends on a few other factors. The most pertinent being whether your unit has the money to send you to the school too.
