Vietnam Service Award Research...

This is a question in regards to the Airforce specifically. Figured I would ask you guys and see if you could help. My Father in Law served in the Airforce during Vietnam He has long since lost his medals and ribbons. I was wondering if anyone might be able to point me in a given direction as to where I may be able to find his information without going through him. I would like to obtain such items without his knowledge.

I understand the controversy between our branches XD but please ladies and gents, Let us keep this civilized as this is a gift for an admired serviceman.

First, you/or he will need to order his service records. That can be done from NARA. Once rec'ved, you should get a copy of his DD-214 (with them). He is entitled to 1 complete replacement issue of his medals and ribbons.
