The last decade of Marines are the only group of Marines who had access to the internet. All previous generations have figured it out for themselves. I love the information that's available, but I'm try to resist overexposure to what all is out there. Every person's experience will be unique, there's really probably no preparing for what it's like to be a Marine - just preparing ourselves for bootcamp.

Everybody does have different experiences, there are always similarities and differences. Although, if you get information from a ton of different sources it is easier to piece together some tiny idea of how all of their perspectives tie together. The more you know about your enemy the better you can turn his threat into child's play.
I find that fighting to win isn't good enough, fighting to completely and utterly humiliate the enemy and break their spirit is required in all things we do. That takes knowledge, and coordination coupled with skill and experience.
