Leaving for MEPS Jan 2nd 2011
Hey everyone I'm leaving for boot and had a few last minute questions to just double check and be sure about. Yes the first thing on my mind is becoming a Marine.
1.) What sleep patterns should I get used to right before bootcamp? Should I let my body get used to 4-6 hours a night or stay relaxed with a full 8 hours?
2.) How many days leave (If any) do Marine Corp reservists get after boot?
3.) Any general tips for getting ready for boot at the last minute I may of overlooked?

1) sleep patterns wont matter, youll be up the first few days with no sleep anyway
2) probably the same amount as any other Marine
3)It's a bit to late to be getting ready now, you leave very soon. Make sure you're in shape and you know your knowledge (general orders and ranks). Good luck.

I don't know about any sleep patterns but supposedly by the sampe bootcamp run down you'll have 7-8 hrs of sleep. I'm use to having 3-4 hours of sleep due to my working hours.
I'm going reserve and once you finish boot you'll have 10 days of leave before MCCT/SOI.
Go in motivated and come back telling us of your experiences!
