why the holdup on ftap packages?

My paperwork is solid but my package is taking forever. Does anyone know why they are getting held up? My career planner doesn't seem to know and the last call I was just told be patient, IE Don't call me, I'll call you Devil Dog.

Any input on this would be great....I know there are a few career planners that post here.

You sure there are any boat spaces left? Now is kind of late in the '11 FTAP cycle to be hoping for reenlistment approval if you're in a tight MOS.

There were quite a few when I put the package in which is why I don't understand. There are still over 15

There may be more RELMs out there than there are allocations. If so, it's possible HQMC is racking and stacking them before they make a decision....or it could be held up somewhere and not even have gotten to HQMC yet. It happens sometimes. Have you asked your career planner where your package is at the moment? They can track those kinds of things.
