For about 5 years now on 10 November, a bunch of us have a get together at the Legion. We decorate the hall with Marine Corps posters, flags, etc.

However we are at a loss for Corpsman posters....

When I was in boot (Oct. - Dec 1977) I was issued a set of "brown" trop trousers which I wasn't allowed to wear as they were phasing them out.

Any and all 5831s who ever served at LeJeune are invited to go to Facebook.

We're starting to get quite the collection of us there.

The badge thing is something new. We didn't have them when I was in the company. (Feb.1974-Oct.77). We had a white duty belt for those working security.

I do have a fancy diploma with "Military Police School" on top. (It's that damn small print that gets ya).

Had a Marine Corps recruiting poster on my wall at 10 years of age. I just always wanted to be a Marine.

Spoke recently to a friend whose son is in Special Forces (He's been in Iraq 3 times counting the first war there). I asked what was the sons' opinion of what the Marine did.
