- Military Biography:
- Enlisted in the USNR in March 1985 after the Spring Semester at San Francisco State University, SF CA. Graduated from Recruit Training July 1985 and Seaman School August 1985 before going to Corpsman A School at Balboa Naval Hospital - San Diego. Drilled in the Reserves Aboard USS ROARK FF 1055, a Reserve Ship and Supported the Marines at Naval Base Treasure Island, SF CA. Attended FMF Training at MCB Camp Pendleton 1987 and drilled with the Navy Special Warfare and 1st Mar Div Camp Pendleton. Served in 5th Marines at Camp Pendleton, and served on many JTF Fleet and Marine Exercises, RIMPAC, Deployment to Korea, Middle East, worked for DTSA at the Office of Sec Defense in 1995, deployment to Hawaii at Kay Bay. Deployed to 1990/1991 Gulf WAR Aug 90 to Mar 91 with Special Warfare. Drilled and deployed until retirement in the USNR in 2007. I was in my 40's when I was called to Active Duty in Iraq and to be on a Marine Corps Fire Team, - (side note: had some of my Marines help carry some of my IV Bags) Learned to break down a M-16 Riffle in 90/91 Gulf War and hope I always shot straight at the RAG Heads we fought off in Iraq. I injured in a road side bomb, have nerve dammage in my feet, PTSD/Depression I am on meds for. Still have Marines that call me DEVIL DOC, as I last worked at the VA Hospital in SF helping other Marines get their Medical Care returning back home.
