    After 50 years , I now discover by serfing the internet ,that I'm a recipient of the Armed Forces Expeditionary Award & Medal ( Lebanon Landing 1958 ) ,which was enacted by President Kennedy in 1961 . Unfortunately , my separation paper won't show that on the awards box ( paper is 50 years old) and the Navy/Marine Dept. didn't notify me or update the paper . Recently I wrote to the Navy Dept in DC to process the change . Reason? Going thru a hassle with City Hall for a tax break on real estate taxes and denied because that award is not in the awards box . A friend was shot in Viet Nam: He didn't get his Purple Heart until 12 Years after discharge . I wonder how long I have to wait for the upgrade ? I phoned my son-in- law and told him to give the medal to my grandson .
