Conversation Between dscusmc and jackalcid

Hello sir. I just completed my second year of law school. I am looking to join the Marines in some Officer capacity. However, I was informed that the Marines do not have a Reserve JAG component. Is that accurate? I am engaged, and want to serve in the Reserves. Are there any alternate MOS for an officer that may fit well? I want to go to OCS shortly after completing the bar exam.

Also, in respect to speaking with a recruiter, I am 5'10", 215lbs. I need to cut some weight. Would it be prudent to talk to the recruiter now and begin paperwork, etc., while doing PT with the recruiter, or would you reccomend losing the weight then talking to the recruiter? The earliest I would ship out would be Sept. 2010, so there is plenty of time...
