Ya I see your point I'll look in to it a bit more but I'm not planning on getting dropped lol I will give it my all. And I'm just trying to get to boot camp right now I've been delayed a couple of times already so I'm just happy I have a job slot cause I was just planning on going open contract, at this point so if I can get a shot at it so I'll take it.

Idk why they would I believe its because sometimes they dont always hold a spot for recon drops because they were contracted as recon and not infantry. Im just saying there are some guys at other MOS schools now who were dropped from recon and assumed they would just be infantry and that did not end up being the case. But i was just trying to give you a heads up i havent been to recon school so i wouldnt know the procedures for being dropped but some of my friends said thats what happened to them. But the important thing is go All out and dont give up

Ya I see your point so I asked my recruiter what you said would be true if I wasn't going recon contracted what he told me was after basic I'd go to SOI then BRC even if a fail BRC they would drop me to infantry cause I was already through the school why would they send me to another school.

Hey man im gonna tell you sumthing you may not know. Im an Air wing Marine down Pensacola Florida and at the aviation school down here there are many recon drop outs who for 1 reason or another did not make the cut. They now are gonna be in the air wing in some capacity. Focus on Getting through recruit training, but remember at recon school if you drop chances are you wont get to stay an 03. The fine print on your recon contract says if you cannot not complete Basic Recon school the needs of the Marine Corps will determine where you end up. A lot of guys are ****ed off down here because they thought "well if i dont make it i will still be an 03xx" not the case just keep that in mind. Good Luck
