Most recruiting stations, at least around here, do at least one a month. I did my first IST before I was even a Poolee, and no I did not have to take an IST after swearing in. However if you are overweight, they may ask you to do the crunches and pullups at MEPS, it happened to a friend of mine. You can always ask your recruiter if you can do an IST if they don't do them that often.

Ok but you know how people on here put up their IST times. When, as in, how long after I swear in, will I do my first IST? The next day? or what.

Your going to run the IST in the DEP constantly. I've done about 15 of them.
