Thumbs up Parris Island...Here I Come!!

Well, I take off this Monday. I get to leave the 7th!! I am so excited and ready to get on with it. I am certainly nervous...but that's always a given, and a nervousness can be a fuel to keep me going!

Thanks to everyone here who has shown support. You've no idea how much I've appreciated it. Also, thanks for all the great advice you Marines put here for us poolees and wannabes. I've learned tons...let's hope it all won't flee when I need to remember them!

To all you other kids still in the DEP, or are going to sign, I wish you the best. I know many of you wish you could be going now, too, but just bide your time. Your date will come. Just PT, drink lots of water, eat healthy, and study your knowledge, and you'll be all the readier. I know I feel ready.

Thanks again to everyone, and I'll see y'all when I come back as one of the Few and the Proud!

Wow Amy the time seems to have finaly come. I wish you the best of luck and I know that you are as prepared as you can be. I do notice when Poolees are improving their knowlege on the boards and you always seemed to be learning the knowlege here. Its been nice chatting with you also. Come back to us in 13 weeks as a United States Marine and let us share your pride with you.

    Jim

Time has come quicker than I thought, Amy!

Best of luck, and STAY MOTIVATED!

Like I told Kait, if YOU CAN.. stop by the Chat Room tonight at around 9pm EST. I'm usually always on there as I PT from 9-10pm EST.

GOOD LUCK, GIRL! BRING BACK THAT EAGLE, GLOBE, AND ANCHOR! Complete your MISSION!

    Motivated,

    -Jon

Just remember: Keep your eyes ahead, your spirit lifted, and the world will turn. When you get to that point where you are used to all the chaos, it's all gravy from there.

Thanks for the encouragement and advice and motivation, everyone! I leave home in a little over an hour. It's weird, because my family will actually leave first for church, so I'll be home alone till my recruiter comes and gets me. In fact, Dad has already left. Poor guy. He's taking it hard, but then I guess every parent does. For me, it's just starting to sink in that I'm actually going to be at Parris Island TOMORROW!! Wow. I'll be seeing you all later!!
