in memory of my father

My father completed training at Parris Island, South Carolina in BN Honor Platoon 471, Fourth Recruit Battalion Sept 16, 1952
He served with the FMF and was part of the USMC detachment assigned to crusier Des Moines..recently I submitted a sketch of his life and some excerpts from his old yearbook which i aquired to Leatherneck magazine
