My best recollection on leaving the hospital would be Dec.1or2 to casual Co. maybe two/three days
Then to V3 Co. in the wooden barracks on the other side of the base which others have said it is the Mumford point area? Never thought to ask back then if I might forget in Aug.2022But 54 years later inquiring minds need to know
Oct.31,1968 was my 19th birthday leaving the Island was the best BD present ever up un till then

I was stationed at Montfort Point in 1973 (Schools Battalion). As I recall, there were no wooden barracks there at that time, all cinder block. There were some old wooden WWII era classroom buildings. The NCO Club was a WWII era wooden building as was the EM Club. Camp Geiger (the ITR location) still had wooden barracks.
