The only time I spent at Pendleton was at the end of my enlistment when was separating. About 2 weeks IIRC.
Hopefully someone who was actually stationed there can come through for you...

I have a pieced together 1:50,000 map of Camp Pendleton I used in the 1st MarDiv MP Company (76-77) when we went to the field to hunt down illegal aliens using the base to avoid the Border Patrol Checkpoint on I-5 near San Onofre. But, this is one of my prized possessions of those fun days raking in aliens by the truck load. Bet they can't do that any more.
