Deer, partridge, pheasant, use my 308, or M-1 grand for the deer, 12 ga for the pheasant, and partridge..

I use my bow tech during archery 12 gauge and 50 cal muzzleloader can't use .308 where I live for whitetail. Hunting lets me spend time with my boys and they love to shoot. I think a lot of Marines should get into hunting gives me a peace of mind.

I don't hunt. Not many places around here to do that.
I would have to travel and then know the gun transport laws.

I use a Savage 110 chambered in .243 Winchester for eastern whitetails - friggin' spot on accurate. (I also black powder and archery hunt for deer, but I don't think you're asking about bows and muzzleloaders). I also use a Stoeger 2000 12 gauge for turkey hunting - kicks like a damn mule, but reaches out to about 55 yards with HeavyShot.

I picked up hunting recently over the past couple of years. I went ham when I dove into it. I hunt with a Bear during Bow season



I hunt with a Remington 870 on base.



and for the time being until i get a 30-06 I hunt with a Winchester Model 94 30-30



So far I have been skunked every deer season but I haven't been able to exactly hunt a full season on Lejeune.

I used to hunt NVA but I'm told they're not in season anymore.
