New Marine Dad Son off to Fort Lost in the Woods

I wanted to introduce myself. My son just graduated MCT at Pendleton and shipped to FLW for MOS 1345 Combat Engineer Equipment Operator. I am very proud of the boy. We are pretty sure he wants Camp Pendleton when he hits the fleet.
It is great to be a part of the Marine Corps family.

I was also an equipment engineer! I used to pave the way, for my brother grunts, with my M-60.

Hey at least the young Marine will have a real transferable occupation when he gets out, there's a good demand for operators in the real world, my MOS//civ job was electricial foreman....I humped a radio and called in choppers and air strikes...the closest I came to electric was changing batteries...so much for my electrical career.

Good luck Sir, your son scored a good career opp.
