Had my first meeting with a career planner and briefly talked about lat moves.

I'm looking to hear some success stories.

Where you came from, Where you went, if it was worth it and bonuses involved.

And if you would recommend it to others.

Somewhat of a success story. In 2010 I began my screening process to get into EOD while I was stationed at MCAS Miramar. Unfortunately, by the time I got accepted the boatspaces filled up. Instead of taking no for an answer, I talked to a PSR a month before I EAS'd and with my EOD screening in hand I told him my situation and asked if it would be possible to get my shot at EOD school as a reservist. And sure enough, 4 days after I got out I became a reservist and was on my way to Eglin AFB, FL for EOD school 5 months later. And now, almost 1 year ago I became the 1st Marine reservist to graduate EOD school, or so I've been told. And now that I finally got the MOS I've wanted since before I even joined 6 years ago, I'm in the process of trying to get back on active duty.
