Any 0451 Parachute Riggers here?

My fall back MOS is the 0451 Parachute Rigger, mainly because you get to go to jump school. Do riggers make regular jumps? Do you recommend this MOS in general?

You're in for a big surprise when you find out that jump school is a joke. Riggers jump, but not that much. Low level static line (what you'll do) isn't really fun. In fact, it's kind of painful.

On the plus side, your mom will be proud that her son has finally learned to sew. Seriously.
