Question Questions about 4th Battalion at PI

i see all sorts of posts on here about stories from the male battalions, but i was just wondering as to what to expect from the female DI's. Is it a no holds bar battalion like 3rd seems to be? Or is it easy compared to the male battalions? I welcome any stories or advice you Marines may have for me and my fellow female poolees, i'm just looking to prepare myself as much as i can before i leave

I am not a Woman Marine, but I would suppose that WM Drill Instructors have to work under the same SOP as male Drill Instructors. I would also guess that the WM Training Schedule is very near the same as for male recruits.

There are some WM's on here who I am sure will help you. Where are you Softball Catch & Marine84??????

4th BN is no walk in the park. The training schedule for females is the same as it is for males.

Read the rules for poolees. Pay attention to the one about proper punctuation/capitlization. You are not texting here.

I always felt that female Drill Instructors are way more intimidating that their male counterparts. Maybe it's just me, but whenever I walked past the DI monument at MCRD San Diego, the Female statue always gave me chills....

I took this photo when I went back to Parris Island in August of 2009 to see my nephew graduate from boot camp.

The D.I. Monuments are the same at both Recruit Depots. When SgtMaj. Bill Paxton came up with the idea of a monument for D.I.'s it was a great idea and took way to many years to go through all the government red tape, but well worth it.
