I have a contract for security forces and i want to know what exactly they do on deployments.
I do have a contract for the infantry too. not sure if that changes anything.
Unless you get into a FAST company, you likely won't do any deployments as an SF member. You'll be assigned to a particular base and there you'll stay until your SF time is up and they send you to the Fleet into an infantry unit. There you might get on deployments.
SF is the modern day equivalent of the old Marine Barracks. You'll be assigned essentially as part of a guard force, probably at a Navy submarine base.
Security Forces don't deploy (that's not their job).
You'll either guard nuclear submarines at a Naval base or you'll be assigned to a Fleet Antiterrorism Security Team (FAST) platoon.
Your recruiter needs to do a better job of explaining to you the role of Security Forces.
