    Yes - 1962 I was trained with the 3rd herd in DelMar and when I went reserve I went to Treasure Island to 2d Armored Amtrac Co (Bn Strength) and stayed there til 68. We were a darned good company of 3 gun platoons and one Maint. Platoon w/a wrecker and 2 Command P5s. Only action was shooting blanks at the hippie loaded sailboats out of Berkeley. We did assault San Clemente Island and I killed a few goats that belonged to the Chief of the island with an errant "skip off" of the 105mm....boy was he ****ed.
    God Loved us.
    The picture above is of the 3rd in DaNang. in 1964 (I think) I had a few good friends in that company.
