Served during the vietnam war With 1st Marine Aircraft Wing VMA(AW) 533 during final troop withdrawal from Vietnam 1974-1975, received Navy/Marine Corps medal for actions on 2 September 1974. Rifle expert 5th award ,Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Medal, Cold War Certificate. Other units served in: VMA(AW) 121, VMA 214, VMA(AW) 242 and VMAT(AW) 202; Bases stationed at : MCRD Parris Island, NAS Memphis, MCAS El Toro, NAS Whidbey Island, MCAS Iwakuni Japan, NAS Cubi Point, Phillippine Islands, MCAS Cherry Point, MCB Camp Le Jeune
