Military Biography:

Antoine J. Davenport Lieutenant UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS On August 16, 1976, Second Lieutenant Davenport was born in Kinross, Michigan at Kinchelo Air Force Base. Lieutenant Davenport is the second of three children of a military family. On July 3, 1995 Davenport left home en route to Parris Island, South Carolina to start the beginning of a new physical and academic era of his life. Upon successful completion of Recruit Training, Pfc Davenport reported to Camp Lejune for Marine Combat Training (MCT). Upon completion of MCT, Pfc Davenport was assigned to NAS Millington Tn for initial “A” School training as a G-404 engine mechanic for F/A-18 platform. Upon successful completion of “A” School he then went to NAS Cecil Field Jacksonville, Fl to attend “C” school where he graduated with honors and was meritoriously promoted to Lance Corporal. LCpl Davenport started his first duty station at MCAS El Toro, California as an F/A- 18 Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and Delta engine and related systems mechanic. After 22 months time in grade as a Lance Corporal, he competed in two meritorious promotion boards, and was selected for meritorious promotion to Corporal. Cpl Davenport also gained qualification that would make him stand apart of his peers and became a CDI/plane captain. During this same period, Cpl Davenport applied to attend Broadened Opportunity for Officer Selection Training and was accepted on Jan 14, 1998. While at BOOST, Cpl Davenport was promoted to sergeant and was also accepted into the University of Arizona. Upon completion of BOOST, June 1999, Sgt Davenport transferred to Navy Reserve Officers Training Command (NROTC) at U of A. While attending school, Sgt Davenport was selected and promoted to staff sergeant. During July of 2000, SSgt Davenport reported to MCB Quantico Va for completion of Officer Candidate School. Also while in college, SSgt Davenport trained with the rugby team for a season, was also an assistant boxing coach for Arizona
