that is David J Stott my uncle the David Stott i was talking about was his son he was in Recon now is in SF in the Army he may have been on east coast

After looking at your thread, I think he would've been way before my time in the community. No vietnam vets when I showed up.

Not sure, was he West coast? I spent the whole time at Flores in Pendleton(Force). And was at BN when it was at camp Margarita. Very little coast to coast intermingling.

Thanks Allen - General Bowman was a great Marine and I was honored to serve on his staff in VietNam. I tried to locate him many years ago after his retirement but that was pre computer. We had a "Tiger" connection - LSU and Clemson.

David Anthony Stott, who now serves in the US Army in the Special Forces
Bradly Stott, who married my Mother, Dorys, in 1993.
Both of whom served honorably in the Corp, David for 10+ years and Bradly for 6.
His wifes name is Mary and she still lives currently in Palmerton, PA.
He retired from the Marine Corp after I believe 24 years, I may be mistaken, as a Gunnery Sergeant, which also I may be mistaken about. He died on March 12th, 1998, from his Brain Tumor.
Is that enough info for you to believe me?

So I feel I must tell you that David Stott is actually my Grandfather.

Any kids follow in his footsteps?
