Military Biography:

Following basic training at MCRD San Diego, I went to school at Court House Bay, at Camp LeJeune. When I completed school as a Field Electrician. Shortly after arriving at MCAS Iwakuni, I received orders to go to Bien Hoa, Vietnam. That turned out to be a short stay as the war ended about 10 days later. The most "action" I encountered was a rocket attack. Reactionary Platoon was called out, but my section was sent back to the barracks. No firing my weapon in Vietnam. The day after the war ended, I got on a C5A back to Iwakuni. In May of 1973, "the General's Band" (1st MAW Band) needed more musicains. New ordwers were cut and I finished out the rest of my tour in the band. My next orders were to go to MCAS Cherry Point. As soon as I arrived, I was taken into the 2nd MAW Band, where I finished my active duty in the Corps.
