Yes, a few years back I was with the 11th Marine Regimental S-3. I was an escort for a WWII Veteran. I've spent a lot of time at Fiddlers Green, not only maintaining it but drinking with the "Old breed" Marines like yourself. You have definately earned my respect and the respect of all those who came after you. Not only that but Marine Artillery is a small community to begin with. It's an honor to meet you.

Have you been to the St. Barbara's gettogether at camp Pendleton? I was honored to be invited to it for the last two years. I had a blast. I treated with the most respect ever. I have become one of the "Old breed" at 11th Marines there. I go to fiddlers cove and never have to go get my own been or cigar. The younger Marines won't let me. I was told that I walked the walk and talked the talk and I did not have to walk anymore that they were honored to have the chance to just learn the "talk" and the "walk".
