What variant of the SAW is this?
Is it just a a regular SAW with the buttstock replaced? Could this be something like the experimental M27 infantry automatic rifle talked about here

It's a SAW, I could pick that POS out from a mile away. It has a para stock that isn't as big as the normal one and can retract. It also has one of those army pos aimdot things that are pointless.
Go Army...even though he has a 2nd MARDIV patch on!!!

ELCAN not reddot, those scopes are pretty good on SAW's and 240's. Also has a para/cqb barrel

Machine guns don't need optics. Not like you can see sh!t after you shoot a burst with all the bull sh!t that flies up.

I've never been in a truck, but it would make sence for that.

All my time in the fleet was in Weapons Co. this lets you check something out with out using bino's just in case it turns out to be a badguy you have weapon aimed in on him.
RCO is an ACOG....when did they start calling them RCOs anyway?
$1,000 is like the starting cost for anything in the government/DoD.
You think a chopped up SAW is interesting, check out the one-man 240's SEALs use. My buddy was a 240 gunner on his team, and he lugged that guy around all over AF and IQ.

Yes, it's a SAW, and that is an ELCAN glass which is magnified.
You've obviously never done anything with automatic weapons, you can see, and magnification is greatly appreciated for target identification and first burst accuracy.
And in the trucks, you have the highest view, and if using proper defilade, you have the only view. There is no assistant gunner or team leader to spot, just you. Hence why we're varsity and you crunchies are still frosh.
