I'm applying for an NROTC scholarship soon and am in process of it, however recruiter is allowing me to train in DEP at the local depot, he said for all respects that makes me a poolee? Ok but the question the other poolees give news guys a bulldog patch or a devil pup patch, it has no globe and anchor on it, if it did I would refuse to wear it; is it appropriate for a poolee to wear a bulldog patch that says Poolee underneath it? I figured I'd ask before making a mistake, thank you!

First off, you're only 16 years old, and can't sign any papers until your 17 with your parents signature, 18 on your own. When you have an official shipdate to MCRD, then you'll become a poolee.
And I believe you mean the DEP at your local recruiting station, not the depot. The depot is either MCRDPI or MCRDSD.
The Marine Corps has the Eagle, Globe and Anchor....not the Globe and Anchor....and there's nothing wrong with wearing a bulldog patch or a devil pup patch.
