Yesterday, the company that I work for released our mobile biometric capture device built on a sleeve attached to an iPhone, it's called MORIS -- Mobile Offender Recognition and Information System. It is a multi-function biometric capture device. At the moment it only has facial recognition on it, but later this summer it will have iris recognition, and a fingerprint sensor. Once we roll out the fully functional iPhone we'll start working on the Android and other PDA's. Our base system is already in 47 states Sheriffs office across the country, and with MORIS, it's not long before we go global.
Pretty cutting edge technology -- coming to a law enforcement/border patrol officer near you.
