Howdy Marines. I am not a Marine nor have I ever been a Marine. But my daddy and brother were. I am a Tennesse Army Guard soldier in Iraq now and a Navy veteran from Desert Storm times. Daddy is always talking about finding his pals from his time in Vietnam. But, he is old school and doesn't own a computer. I thought I might help him out. He went to bootcamp in 1964 at Parris Island, but I forgot what platoon. Next he shipped out to the 1st Bn 7th Marines I think in Camp Pendleton. He went to Vietnam for a year, came back to California and stayed there for awhile. Then he went to Camp H.M. Smith in Hawaii. He then volunteered to go to Vietnam again with the 3rd Bn 5th Marines. He got hit in 1968 on Operation Hastings during the Tet Offensive. His name is Charles M Moore. Does anyone out there know daddy or know were I might find some info? I appreciate it.
