Joshua Pike is in boot camp at MCRDSD right now. He's writing a blog about his experiences and sending letters to his father who is putting them on the website. It's slow to update, but it's pretty interesting and I recommend everyone check it out.
He's also looking for people to write him, so if anyone has some free time then shoot him a letter. His address is on his blog, but if you're not interested in reading it then here is his address:

The blog is awesome. I've been writing him about once a week, if I have a good story to tell. It's a good feeling to get a letter back, too.

I don't know him in real life, but when I read that he'd like to get letters I felt like I needed to try and get people to write him. I'm debating on shooting him a letter, but not sure if I will or not.

Beware the last recruit that I knew that tried this was Joe Syznal now a Corporal. It wasent pretty for Joe when DrillInstructor a regular on this site and a Drill Instructor at MCRDSD read his blog here on Leatherneck. Us old salts got a real laugh out of the posts.

It's fine at this point... any damage that could've happened as a result of this would've most likely happened already... he only has a little bit more time left. Im gonna send out my first letter to him tomorrow... should be fun talking to him :P

Yeah, he's halfway through, so I assume at this point, for him could just be an extra IT session.... if! Also, not to push luck, I don't think that his actual DI would be on here, reading this (I mean, what's the chance?)... ;)
