What are the possible duty stations you can be sent to as an infantry Marine? What are the pros and cons of each one? What types of things are there to do during libo at each of the duty stations?

You really need to speak to a recruter. Are you a poolee?

As an infantryman, the most likely places for you to be stationed are 29 Palms, Camp Lejeune, and Camp Pendleton. Of course, there are many other possibilities, especially if you find yourself on barracks duty. The pros and cons depend upon who you talk to. For example, many Marines dislike 29 Palms. But, it is my favorite Marine Corps Base. It all depends on you, and what you are willing to do with a situation you are given. As for libbo, you can do anything you wish. The Marines in SoCal have the most available to them, but there is plenty to do in any location. Worry about earning the Eagle, Gobe, and Anchor; then you can concern yourself with what you will do with your time off.

Once again, this would be a great reason to see your recruiter's Marine Corps Opportunities Book. In it, you will find all the duty locations and assignments you may be eligible to receive. Also, he can explain how orders and duty stations are handed out and what type of flexibility or choice you may have in the matter. Every duty station and location is what you make it. If you want to sit in the barracks watching porn flicks and eating pizza, you can do that. Look at each duty station as a chance to learn about a place you may never visit or see again. Take pictures, go out and visit landmarks and places. Get to know the area and people. One day, you may even decide to make the location your home!!
